Sony announces two new devices

Today Sony unveiled two new smartphones both of which are running on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The devices are the Sony Xperia SP and the Xperia L. Both these phones are believed to be available in stores in the second quarter of this year and will be available in the colors red, white and black.

The Xperia SP sports a 4.6-inch TFT screen with Bravia Engine 2 and supports videos up to 720p. The phones comes with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and will come with 8 GB of internal storage along with microSD card support up to 32 GB. This device will come with an 8MP camera with LED flash on the back and a VGA front-facing camera. This device has a 2,370 mAh battery and a casing made of plastic and co-molded aluminium.

The Xperia L sports a slightly smaller 4.3-inch TFT display with a scratch resistant cover and has a 1GHz dual-core processor. It comes with an internal storage of 8GB and a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB microSD cards. On the rear of the camera sits an 8MP camera with LED flash, and on the front is a VGA camera.

Both phones seem to be like the average devices available in today's market and are expected to be part of Sony's mid-range Xperia devices.
